Many persons who participated in the Cisco certification exam holding unrealistic expectations usually got a frustrated ending. Before the certification exam, a lot of people will have the following expectations:

Does the certification of CCNP really have such a big function? Maybe one has unrealistic expectations because he misunderstands the certification.

In fact, certification exams, Cisco 642-901 for instance, are designed to check candidates’ knowledge of a certain software, the logical thinking ability, and the capability of resolving problems. However, almost all customers and employers want you to have a wealth of experience and skills. You should know, the certification exam can not increase your work experience.

Further more, 642-901 is mainly concerned with technical skills, you can not able to acheive success in the IT industry only by skill. That means other abilities, including interpersonal relationship, negotiation skills and teamwork, are not less important than skills for success in IT industry.
